仕事内容
In our role as part of the global controls team, we work in collaboration with experienced experts and innovators in the data center industry. Our primary responsibility is to innovate, deploy, optimize, and maintain the automation systems within data centers, which include the Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS). As associate controls engineers, we engage in various tasks such as performing root cause analyses for controls, scheduling and overseeing quarterly maintenance for BMS and EPMS, and managing vendors. We also develop scopes of work for site improvement projects and provide support to the Global Controls projects team.
In addition to these responsibilities, we work under tight project timelines and manage deliverables and requirements from multiple stakeholders, often navigating challenging situations. We review the controls sequence of operations and provide feedback to design teams, manage service invoices financially, and offer technical assistance to internal customers throughout the data center lifecycle. Participating in a global on-call schedule and expanding our technical skills by learning diverse automation platforms are also part of our role.
As Controls Engineers, additional duties may include ensuring that data center controls are deployed according to the scope of work and specifications, developing building automation controls drawings and wiring diagrams, sizing control valves and damper actuators, and selecting controls devices. We review and provide feedback on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) drawings, develop controls bills of material (BOM), and modify controls logic programming and graphical user interfaces. Furthermore, we may act in a project sponsor capacity, overseeing various project aspects to ensure the successful implementation of control systems.
