仕事内容
As a Business Development professional for the Startup Ecosystem in Japan at AWS, our focus is to craft and implement strategies that promote awareness and broad adoption of AWS's cloud computing platform among startups. The task involves navigating the vast and intricate landscape of global startups, providing data-driven insights that empower our Startup Business Development team to effectively engage these evolving entities. A key aspect of the role is identifying vital connections within the startup ecosystem to foster a strong affinity for AWS, primarily by working closely with venture capitalists, corporate venture investors, angels, incubators, accelerators, and other partners to secure long-term AWS customers from their portfolios.
We develop scalable strategies that ensure AWS delivers value to startup organizations while recommending, implementing, and assessing AWS's metrics within this ecosystem. On a routine basis, we collaborate with AWS's sales team to manage daily interactions with startups, aiming to cultivate enduring business opportunities. This involves a deep understanding and active use of Salesforce.com and Amazon's internal systems to facilitate these interactions effectively.
The sought candidates should have over eight years of related experience within the startup ecosystem, and possess bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese. It is essential to have comprehensive understanding of cloud computing, be able to communicate AWS's value proposition to startups, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and possess experience with VCs, investors, and accelerators or incubators. Prior experience as a startup founder or investor, along with a substantial network within the startup community, is highly desirable.
