仕事内容
As a Controls Deployment & Service (CDS) Engineer within the Data Center Capacity Delivery Asia-Pacific Controls Deployment and Service team at Amazon Web Services (AWS), we are responsible for the deployment and support of building automation systems in data centers, including Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS). Our primary tasks involve overseeing the implementation of new BMS or EPMS systems as part of new data center builds or upgrades to existing data centers. We may also provide local servicing expertise within our region and assist with global support when necessary.
Our work requires effective collaboration with various Amazon teams, such as Construction, Commissioning, Critical Projects, Data Center Operations, Procurement, Program Management, Design, and Engineering, as well as maintaining strong vendor relationships. Our job responsibilities include the timely deployment of data center controls, managing vendors to minimize defects by the Power and Facilities Hand-Off (PFHO), delivering critical projects for data center automation upgrades, and providing service and support to partner teams. This involves diagnosing and resolving operation-impacting events such as Loss of Visibility (LOV), Loss of Resilience (LOR), and large or critical scale events.
Additionally, we are tasked with resolving issues within predefined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and contributing to initiatives that improve the efficiency of our data centers or operational procedures. To succeed, we need expertise in building automated control systems, project management skills, and proficiency in business-level English and intermediate Japanese. Knowledge of critical data center equipment, engineering documentation, and relevant regulations is also beneficial.
