Job DescriptionResponsibilities:Collaborate with users and project team on requirements and expectationsAnalyze business requirements, create proper data solutions that meets functional and non-functional requirementsAnalyze existing system to find the original source data based on business requirementsWork with the Application Development team to implement data strategies, build data flowsGuide System Analysts, Engineers, Programmers and others on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfacesDiscover metadata of the source database, including value patterns and distributions, key candidates, foreign-key candidates, and functional dependenciesDesign logical and physical data modelsCreate design documents including FRDPrepare test cases, test data, and capture test evidence.Job Description - Grade SpecificExperience:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a closely related field, or equivalent experience is ideal6-10 years of relevant experience in system development or business system analyst roleExperience in managing and implementing successful projectsDemonstrated leadership and project management skillsSkills:Strong data/system analytics skills using various coding languageGood knowledge of Oracle database, MS-SQL Server, MongoDB, Linux, networkingData structures and data management knowledge and proven experienceExtended knowledge of Hadoop ecosystemExposure to new platforms and adapt to a continuous evolving ecosystem of multiple moving components involving Hive, HBase, Zeppelin, Spark, Livy, SolrGood problem-solving skillsExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsPreferable:Understanding of REST API, micro-services, ETL, and Salesforce is preferredHand-on experience with Cloud services is preferredUnderstanding of streaming data processing and change data capture is preferredLanguage:Japanese: AdvancedEnglish: Intermediate (preferred)Personality:Detailed and precise, able to drive alone the design and development of complex systemPatient and verbally apt, specific to senior business usersAble to understand non-technical specification and transform to IT requirementsAble to adapt to users’ needs but also assertive enough to navigate complex and demanding continuously growing environmentGood prioritization skills and project management skills.
