Job DescriptionLanguage Requirement: Bilingual (English and Japanese)About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe / Infra Tech Lead to architect, manage, and optimize enterprise mainframe and infrastructure environments. This is a hands-on technical leadership role, responsible for driving modernization, automation, and high availability across both mainframe and distributed systems.Key Responsibilities· Oversee and optimize mainframe infrastructure (IBM z/OS, CICS, DB2, IMS, RACF) and core IT systems (Windows, Linux, VMware, networking, storage).· Lead technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex incidents.· Monitor system health and performance using enterprise-grade mainframe tools: Omegamon, CA OPS/MVS, BMC MainView.· Analyze and forecast resource utilization (CPU, I/O, storage), ensuring SLA compliance.· Design and maintain automated job scheduling workflows (CA-7, Control-M, IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler).· Implement automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Ansible, REXX, JCL, Python, Shell.· Architect and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions (GDPS, Sysplex Concepts, Parallel Sysplex).· Drive mainframe modernization: DevOps (Git, Jenkins, UrbanCode Deploy), hybrid cloud integration (AWS, Azure, IBM zCloud), and open source on Z (Python, Node.js, Java, OpenShift).· Leverage AI/ML tools (IBM Watson) for analytics and real-time detection on z/OS.· Mentor and guide engineering teams, ensuring best practices in performance, capacity, and security.Most Critical Skills· Deep expertise in IBM mainframe systems: z/OS, CICS, DB2, IMS, RACF.· Mainframe monitoring tools: Omegamon, CA OPS/MVS, BMC MainView.· Infrastructure management: Windows Server, Linux (RHEL, SUSE), VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, networking (TCP/IP, SNA), SAN/NAS storage.· Automation & scripting: Ansible, REXX, JCL, Python, Shell.· Job scheduling: CA-7, Control-M, IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler.· High availability & DR: GDPS, Sysplex, Parallel Sysplex, failover testing.· DevOps & Modernization: Git, Jenkins, UrbanCode Deploy, hybrid cloud (AWS, Azure, IBM zCloud), open source (Python, Node.js, Java, OpenShift).· AI/ML on Z: IBM Watson, machine learning for analytics and fraud detection.· Security & compliance: RACF/ACF2/Top Secret, SOX, GDPR.· Leadership: Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage large-scale infrastructure projects.· Bilingual communication: English and Japanese, with strong technical documentation skills.Preferred Qualifications· 8+ years of hands-on experience with IBM mainframe and enterprise infrastructure.· Experience with ITIL processes, change management, and incident response frameworks.· Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and mentoring skills.Capgemini is a global business and technology transformation partner, helping organizations to accelerate their dual transition to a digital and sustainable world, while creating tangible impact for enterprises and society.
