仕事内容
As members of our team, we focus on developing and scaling the hosting infrastructure for Fastly’s Compute, an advanced serverless platform. Our objective is to enhance the performance and security of this platform, enabling customers to execute code efficiently in a secure environment across our global edge network. Our responsibilities include working closely with various technical and product teams to design high-quality APIs, allowing seamless use of services developed by other teams.
We take ownership of large-scale production systems that demand exceptional performance and availability. This involves crafting platform-level code in Rust, addressing host concerns such as back pressure and resource limits, and managing interactions with other services. Our role encompasses analyzing and resolving performance and stability issues to meet the operational requirements at scale.
We are also tasked with running projects as technical leads, driving their progression, and providing updates to relevant stakeholders. Contributing to code reviews and refining the codebase and team processes are part of our job to ensure continuous improvement. Additionally, there is room to engage with open source projects like Wasmtime, which hold significant importance to our platform's functionality.
Engagement with cutting-edge technologies is crucial, and we highly value experience in systems programming, specifically in Rust, and the ability to write asynchronous and concurrent code. Furthermore, understanding security concerns in multi-tenant systems and proficiency in technical writing can be advantageous in this role.
