You are fluent in technical conversations about multiphysics, ADAS, electrification, and digital twins, but you can pivot to a strategic business case when you’re in the boardroom. You thrive on mapping the Ansys portfolio to the business and technical challenges your customers face, whether that’s reducing time to market, improving safety, or hitting stricter emissions targets. You are proactive, always looking for the next opportunity to add value, and you’re comfortable running point on complex deals with long sales cycles. You keep relationships strong, details sharp, and your pipeline transparent. You want a seat at the table where your insight and hustle directly shape how the world’s leading automotive companies build their products.What You'll Be DoingOwn and expand relationships with key automotive accounts in Japan, focusing on OEMs and major suppliers to drive renewals and uncover new business for the full Ansys simulation portfolioIdentify where Ansys solutions fit into automotive engineering challenges—think ADAS, electrification, vehicle safety—and deliver targeted presentations with technical expertsDevelop and execute long-term account strategies that align Ansys offerings with customer business priorities, pain points, and future roadmapsCollaborate with global Ansys account teams, technical specialists, and business partners to deliver a unified, high-impact customer experienceOrganize and lead regular customer engagements, including executive reviews, technical seminars, and hands-on workshops, to keep relationships active and relevantDocument customer challenges, required capabilities, and ROI metrics to build value-driven proposals and demonstrate measurable impactLead complex, multiyear contract negotiations, ensuring proposals reflect both customer wins and Ansys valueManage your pipeline in Salesforce, from opportunity tracking to order processing, contract admin, and forecastingStay up to date on the latest Ansys products and automotive industry trends to anticipate and shape customer needsThe Impact You Will HaveAccelerate adoption of Ansys simulation tools across Japan’s automotive sector, helping customers innovate faster and hit their targetsTurn deep technical insights into business wins by showing the real-world ROI of simulation-led engineeringBuild trusted advisor status with automotive OEMs and suppliers, strengthening renewals and opening doors to new projectsDrive larger, more strategic deals by connecting Ansys solutions to customers’ biggest business challengesShorten sales cycles by orchestrating seamless internal and external collaboration and keeping all stakeholders alignedRaise the visibility of customer needs inside Ansys, influencing product direction and support prioritiesDeliver clean, actionable pipeline data so leadership can invest in the right places and celebrate your winsWhat You'll NeedBachelor’s degree in engineering, technical, business, or a related field and 4+ years of technical sales experience, or 6+ years in a relevant roleDemonstrated success growing automotive accounts, ideally selling CAE, simulation, or engineering software (Ansys experience a strong plus)Ability to manage multiple high-value opportunities and priorities with discipline and accuracyFluent in Japanese and English, comfortable presenting and negotiating with both technical and executive audiencesSolid strategic account planning skills and proven experience running the full sales cycle in complex environmentsConfident with Salesforce for pipeline management and administrative follow-throughWillingness to travel up to 50% to maintain and grow key customer relationshipsExperience coordinating across technical, sales, and partner teams to deliver complete solutions is a plusWho You AreYou can walk a customer through a technical workflow in the morning and close a business case with their leadership in the afternoonYou document every touchpoint, decision, and follow-up—your pipeline is always accurate and up to dateYou dig for the real business drivers and connect them to what Ansys can actually deliver, not just what’s on the datasheetYou build networks that last—customers trust you, colleagues count on you, and partners want you on their dealsYou lead negotiations with calm confidence, keeping both customer value and Ansys interests in focusYou’re self-directed but know when to pull in the right resources to win the deal and serve the customerThe Team You'll Be Part OfYour recruiter will share more about the team structure and mission during the interview process.Rewards and BenefitsWe offer a comprehensive range of health, wellness, and financial benefits to cater to your needs.
