仕事内容
As part of the Core System team at DeepX, our primary responsibility is to develop and maintain the foundational software platform and tools that support heavy-machinery automation applications. Our work encompasses creating a base robotics framework, developing sensor and hardware abstraction layers, and setting up integration infrastructure and system-level orchestration. As a Core System Engineer, you'll be tasked with designing the automation system architecture and constructing the components necessary for its functionality. Your role involves hands-on validation at the work sites, ensuring high standards of safety and operational integrity.
You will need to design and implement system orchestration features such as state machines and behavior management mechanisms, focusing heavily on safety and error-handling. Moreover, you will lead the integration efforts of perception, control, and planning modules with various hardware, User Interfaces, and external systems, ensuring their seamless interaction during runtime. An integral part of your duties includes contributing to the ROS2 node architecture's design and developing interfaces and configuration packages for automation applications.
The role demands developing machine platform components like drivers and parsers for proprietary and third-party hardware, along with building tools for logging, monitoring, and introspection to expedite and enhance integration and field operations. Validating developed solutions on actual machines through hardware testing and field deployments is a crucial component of the role. Given the nature of the work, you must be willing to travel and work on-site at customer locations, including outdoor and industrial settings, to meet project needs.
