仕事内容
We are leading the Japan Data Office, responsible for defining and executing Manulife Japan's data strategy. Our key tasks involve establishing data governance, enhancing data quality, and managing data across the organization. We act as the main point of contact between Japan's stakeholders and regional/global Data Office teams to ensure that data policies and standards are aligned. Additionally, we oversee the operations and support of data platforms, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and reliable to meet business and regulatory demands.
Our role includes driving data engineering and modernization initiatives, building capabilities in data integration, pipelines, and cloud-based solutions, and leading the development of modern business intelligence reporting platforms. We partner closely with business leaders and the Information Services teams to identify and execute strategic data and analytics initiatives. These initiatives aim to enhance business insights, improve operational efficiency, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive better customer outcomes.
Moreover, we foster a data-driven culture within the organization by effectively engaging stakeholders, ensuring strong governance, and exercising technology leadership. To achieve our goals, we collaborate with external vendors and manage demand to deliver strategic data capabilities that align with organizational priorities. We require experienced leadership in data management and engineering, with proficiency in tools like Azure Data Platform, Databricks, and Power BI, to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders across different levels.

| その他 | - **応募要件**: 12+ years of experience in Data Management, Data Engineering, Analytics, or Enterprise Data Platforms. 8+ years of experience leading large-scale data initiatives using Azure Data Platform, Databricks, SQL, Data Factory, Power BI, or similar technologies. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline. Proven experience establishing data governance frameworks, data quality controls, and enterprise data management practices. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior business and technology stakeholders. Strong communication skills with experience managing regional and global stakeholder relationships. - **望ましい経験**: Experience in the financial services or insurance industry. Knowledge of regulatory reporting, data privacy, and risk management requirements. Experience leading cloud-based data modernization and transformation programs. Familiarity with AI, advanced analytics, and data-driven business transformation initiatives. Experience managing distributed teams, vendors, and strategic delivery partners. Understanding of enterprise architecture principles and modern data operating models. |
