仕事内容
As part of the Technical Escalation Engineering (TEE) team at Datadog, we serve as in-house product experts focused on driving global customer success through deep technical expertise, problem-solving, and customer engagement. Our main responsibilities include: investigating and addressing challenging technical issues, collaborating closely with Engineering and Product teams to refine and evolve our platform, and mentoring teams worldwide to elevate the technical standard. We engage directly with customers to troubleshoot and deliver high-impact solutions, whether through hands-on technical calls, in-depth meetings, or complex investigations.
In this role, we become experts in usage metering, cloud cost management, and understanding revenue-impacting behaviors within technical solutions. We play a key part in leading escalations related to usage and billing, working with Product, Engineering, and Finance to resolve issues such as unexpected usage, missing metering data, and billing anomalies. Additionally, we develop internal tools and resources, and create customer-facing content, to enable teams to confidently address billing and usage questions, monitor observability costs, and ensure transparency.
Moreover, we are responsible for training global Solutions teams and building scalable resources to support discussions about usage, billing, and costs effectively. Acting as the voice of the customer, we provide feedback and identify patterns to influence the roadmap for usage visibility and cost management.
The role requires a detailed understanding of cloud billing models, APIs, metric management, and collaboration across technical and business boundaries to effectively tackle usage and cost-related challenges.
