仕事内容
We are responsible for executing defined sourcing and procurement activities, aiming to optimize costs, improve supplier performance, and mitigate risks through initiatives. Core responsibilities include implementing sourcing strategies for assigned commodities, identifying cost savings and risk reduction opportunities, and driving material productivity. A significant part of our role involves selecting, qualifying, and managing suppliers to establish a robust supplier base according to our strategic objectives. We support NPI/Migration projects by ensuring the right sourcing in terms of quality, cost, and service from initiation through to mass production, aiding business growth.
In our sourcing initiatives, we prepare RFQs, analyze bids, and document related contracts or agreements. We are also tasked with leading VAVE projects across functions and driving material localization efforts to achieve cost reductions and enhanced delivery service flexibility. To meet DLPM targets, we collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineers (SQE) to enhance supplier quality. Additionally, we work closely with the supply chain and operations teams to ensure a continuous supply.
While our primary focus is on procurement activities for the Medical Suzhou/Japan business, we also support other global medical sites. Furthermore, any other tasks assigned by management will fall under our responsibilities. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably with a mechanical or electronic background, over 8 years of procurement or related experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the medical industry, and fluency in Japanese, with English communication being advantageous. The role also values competencies such as integrity, accountability, and teamwork, and requires travel of 25% to 50%.
