仕事内容
As Director of Operations for Automotive JASEAN, our primary responsibility is to oversee and improve the operational performance in areas such as Supply Chain, Procurement, Environmental Health and Safety, and Manufacturing Engineering. We will define and execute a comprehensive operations strategy aimed at achieving both company and functional goals, aligning with broader business objectives. This involves managing the operational performance of manufacturing plants located in Kakegawa, Japan, and Thailand, while being based in Kakegawa with occasional travel to other locations like Kawasaki, Thailand, and China.
Our role requires developing strategic plans that leverage customer insights, business trends, and operational capabilities to secure a competitive edge. This includes improving processes across the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), driving Gross Margin improvements, reducing material and conversion costs, and managing capital costs efficiently.
We will focus on operational excellence by implementing strategies for manufacturing safety, efficiency, quality, and customer service through methodologies like the TE Operating Advantage (TEOA). Another critical aspect is optimizing organizational resources and structures to surpass established KPI targets related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Additionally, ensuring all sites meet environmental compliance and safety standards is part of our mandate.
Talent management is a significant component of our role, necessitating the creation and investment in robust succession plans, identifying and nurturing high-potential talent, and collaborating with HR for workforce development. Through this role, we cultivate a culture that values diversity and inclusion while meeting evolving business needs through continuous improvement.
Ultimately, we are accountable for delivering consistent business performance, meeting financial objectives, and ensuring customer satisfaction by effectively managing resources and adapting to market changes.
