仕事内容

As Senior Sales Engineers based in Tokyo, we play a pivotal role at the crossroads of enterprise software strategy, systems architecture, and advanced AI automation. Our responsibilities include designing and operationalizing sophisticated AI-driven customer workflows using technologies such as Large Language Models and modern automation frameworks. We lead deep technical discovery processes, assess AI readiness, and convert intricate system requirements into scalable pilots and proofs-of-concept that demonstrate tangible business value. We proactively develop reusable technical accelerators, middleware templates, and API components to facilitate the regional deployment of Zendesk solutions.

Our role requires us to be the absolute technical authority throughout the technical sales lifecycle, ensuring secure and scalable deployment architectures utilizing Zendesk APIs and leading cloud platforms. We also bridge strategic product and field activities, offering real-world, technical feedback from the field to our Product Management and Engineering teams. This feedback helps identify product gaps and guides the future roadmap for Zendesk’s AI and platform ecosystem.

The position demands six-plus years of experience in technical presales, solution engineering, or as a system architect within complex software environments. An essential qualification is robust technical expertise with modern web and scripting technologies, REST/SOAP APIs, middleware frameworks, and cloud ecosystem architecture. Additionally, a strong understanding of AI technologies, including LLMs and autonomous agents, is required. Our role involves international travel to lead key customer architecture sessions, and professional proficiency in Japanese and English is highly favored.

その他- **応募要件**: Bachelor’s degree in a related highly quantitative technical discipline. 6+ years of hands-on experience in technical presales, solution engineering, or a system architect/developer role within enterprise SaaS or complex software environments. Deep technical fluency with modern web and scripting technologies (e.g., Python, Node.js, JavaScript), REST/SOAP APIs, middleware frameworks, and cloud ecosystem architectures. Strong foundational knowledge of AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and autonomous agent deployment. Solid understanding of enterprise infrastructure, contact center tech stacks (CCaaS, telephony, workforce management), or modern IT Service Management (ITSM) systems. Ability to travel internationally and domestically between 30% and 50% of the time to lead critical on-site customer architecture sessions.

- **望ましい経験**: Active engagement in the technical or developer community (e.g., open-source contributions, technical blogging, or community mentorship). Proven track record of designing reusable implementation guides, integration playbooks, or localization toolkits for global delivery partners and systems integrators. Experience flattening complex technical narratives into high-impact presentations tailored for executive, economic buyers and C-level stakeholders. Professional proficiency in both Japanese and English to effectively lead technical discovery sessions within the regional market.
