仕事内容
At Amazon, our primary focus is to enhance and expand our last-mile delivery network in Japan through the Amazon Logistics (AMZL) team. Our goal is to ensure products reach customers promptly and cost-effectively. As part of this mission, the position is responsible for designing and planning the short to long-term network strategy to support the expansion goals of Amazon's delivery services across Japan. This includes anticipating future capacity needs and developing solutions to reorganize our network for optimal customer demand fulfillment.
We are looking for a professional who can identify opportunities to optimize our transportation network by balancing delivery accuracy, speed, and cost. This role involves providing reports and analyses using various tools and databases such as Redshift, SQL, and Excel to ensure comprehensive visibility over plans and their execution. The incumbent will also undertake simulation analyses using in-house tools to assess network behavior under different scenarios and drive improvements both in the short and long term.
Furthermore, automating dashboards to consolidate data sources for network improvements and optimizations is a key responsibility. Collaborating with multiple stakeholders and leading initiatives to drive process improvements are crucial aspects of this role. The ideal candidate possesses at least 5 years of program or project management experience, uses data-driven metrics for decision-making, and is proficient in English. Optional qualifications include advanced degrees and fluency in Japanese, which are advantageous for better communication and strategy implementation.
