仕事内容
As part of the AWS Infrastructure Services team, we are responsible for designing, planning, delivering, and operating all of AWS's global infrastructure, ensuring that our cloud services are continuously available to our customers. In the role of an Amazon Critical Infrastructure Engineer, you will provide comprehensive lifecycle support for AWS Data Centers, from the design phase through to ongoing improvements and maintenance. You will serve as the key engineering resource in your region, offering technical expertise and collaborating with diverse teams to troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analyses, and develop corrective action plans for any site or equipment failures.
Your responsibilities will include direct operational support, reviewing complex operating procedures, and participating in event support and training. You will oversee the conceptual design for data center upgrades and design solutions aimed at enhancing capacity, availability, efficiency, and sustainability. Coordination with teams such as data center operations, design engineering, server hardware, and environmental health and safety is essential to promote service reliability and consistency.
Moreover, you will develop innovative solutions for data centers, manage multiple concurrent projects across geographic regions, initiate and lead engineering audits—including on-site visits—and act as the resident engineer during new construction projects, supporting construction, commissioning, and project turnover.
As an ideal candidate, you should have strong engineering judgement, experience in solving complex problems with engineered solutions, managing engineering projects, and have knowledge of building codes and regulations in your region. You will engage with different teams daily to prioritize activities that maximize data center capacity and safety, along with having the chance to work on local and global projects. This position is integral to achieving Amazon's vision of being the most customer-centric company in the world.

| その他 | - **応募要件**: - 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities experience - 4+ years of commissioning experience - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field - Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel - Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities - Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities - Experience in commissioning - **望ましい経験**: - Professional Engineer License - Experience with building codes and regulations for your region - Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production - Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents |
