仕事内容

As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE), we work directly within a strategic enterprise customer's environment to design, build, deploy, and manage AI-powered production systems alongside their engineering teams. Our primary responsibility is to deliver production-grade software through the entire cycle, from prototype to enterprise-scale deployment, ensuring measurable business outcomes for our clients. We create scalable reusable architectures, patterns, and mechanisms for the FDE practice. Our work involves leading technical delivery across customer engagements, owning the technical strategy and execution for complex AI programs, and making architecture decisions that align with the customer's long-term technology strategy. We are tasked with designing and building foundational architectures like multi-agent orchestration and decision intelligence platforms, handling enterprise-scale traffic and reliability.

Additionally, we own production excellence across various workstreams by defining operational standards and readiness criteria, establishing testing and incident response mechanisms, and driving operational improvements. We also focus on scaling the team's effectiveness through pattern definition, mentoring junior engineers, leading system design training, and driving engineering standards.

Our role extends to accelerating customer transformation by expanding AI adoption within organizations, creating reusable platforms that reduce time-to-value, and channeling insights back into AWS services and the broader FDE practice. This position requires 30-50% travel and demands extensive software development experience, strong leadership skills, and proficiency with AI tools, alongside business-level Japanese and basic English capabilities.

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- Experience with AI tools: eval frameworks, agent tooling, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering
- Business level Japanese and basic level English

- **望ましい経験**:
- Experience architecting and delivering complex, multi-component systems in customer production environments
- Experience leading customer-facing technical projects or managing external stakeholder relationships
