仕事内容
As a Database Specialist within our Data & AI Specialist team in Japan, we are responsible for managing the full database transition process for our clients. This encompasses migrating from legacy commercial databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, and DB2 to open-source platforms like PostgreSQL and MySQL, and advancing to purpose-built non-relational databases like key-value, document, and graph databases on AWS. Our role includes driving the go-to-market strategy for AWS database technologies by creating and implementing detailed account-level plans, leveraging the AWS sales team and partner ecosystem. We act as the primary database authority, leading engagements about database platform strategy, migration planning, and workload modernization. An essential part of our role is to translate complex technical migration risks and architectural considerations into compelling business narratives for business leaders and C-level executives, assisting them to see the value in reducing reliance on expensive commercial databases by transitioning to open-source or purpose-built alternatives. We collaborate with database-focused partners and global system integrators to deliver informed migration strategies at scale. Moreover, we play a crucial role in the innovation and development of new go-to-market strategies for upcoming AWS products, contributing valuable customer insights to product teams and shaping the AWS database services roadmap.

| その他 | - **応募要件**: - 7+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience - 5+ years of hands-on experience in the database domain, with demonstrated understanding of commercial databases (Oracle, SQL Server), open-source databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), and/or non-relational databases (document, key-value, graph) - Proven ability to engage credibly with both technical practitioners (DBAs, infrastructure engineers, application developers) and business decision-makers (LOB leaders, C-suite) - Business-level fluency in Japanese - **望ましい経験**: - Business-level fluency in English - Experience positioning and selling technology to new customers and new market segments - Experience developing detailed go to market plans - Experience identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large-scale technology deals |
