仕事内容
We are part of the AWS Data Center Global Services team, specifically contributing to the Controls Design Engineering team within the Controls & Technology organization. Our primary responsibility involves tracking, documenting, communicating, and enhancing global data center design standards, focusing on control, automation, and electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS). Our work requires a strong knowledge of EPMS programming and design, electrical distribution systems, Modbus communication protocol, single-line diagrams, complex electrical concepts, and data center redundancy.
Our daily tasks include reviewing MEP drawings with a focus on electrical drawing sets to verify EPMS design content and creating detailed EPMS scopes of work (SOW). We provide RFI support and review technical vendor proposals during the bid review process, ensuring that the EPMS scope is accurately captured in Long Lead Equipment (LLE) submittals. We participate in Factory Witness Tests (FWTs) and Equipment Qualification Tests (EQTs) to validate EPMS points and test device functionality.
We maintain and update control points lists, specifications, EPMS drawing templates, Basis of Design documents, and project-specific SOW documents. Additionally, we develop and disseminate specification documents for global projects, facilitating collaboration across various teams, including construction, programmers, and MEP/ACS engineers, to achieve initiative targets. We manage requests related to new construction builds, existing facilities, and legacy site enhancements, serving as the central contact for EPMS design standards.
Our role also involves driving innovation by developing new solutions, interacting with AWS cloud services and applications to manage and analyze data, anticipating and managing project roadblocks, and traveling globally as necessary to support project initiatives.
