仕事内容
As the Director of Media, Entertainment, Games & Sports (MEGS) for AWS in Japan, we will lead strategic initiatives that integrate industry expertise with AWS's cloud technology to drive growth and innovation in this dynamic market. Our core responsibilities include developing and executing a comprehensive industry strategy tailored to Japan's market dynamics, customer profiles, and competitive landscape. We will champion technological innovations, such as Generative AI and cloud-native solutions, to address Japan-specific opportunities and challenges.
In customer engagement, we will foster C-suite relationships with Japan's leading MEGS companies, positioning AWS as a strategic partner in their transformation journey. Understanding industry dynamics and customer needs is crucial as we own revenue targets and develop scalable strategies for all MEGS clients in Japan.
From a business strategy perspective, we will manage the industry P&L, identify growth opportunities, allocate resources efficiently, and anticipate industry disruptors such as regulatory changes and technology shifts. Aligning sales opportunities with strategic positioning in the Japanese market is essential.
Furthermore, our role involves cross-functional leadership, where we influence various organizational boundaries to drive results and build partnerships across AWS Japan and globally. We will ensure knowledge transfer and alignment with global industry strategies while developing talent within our team. We aim to cultivate a high-performing and diverse MEGS team in Japan, focusing on talent development and inclusive culture. Mentor and develop the team through challenging opportunities and leadership exposure is a key aspect of this role.
In summary, as MEGS Director, we will be the driving force behind AWS's industry strategy in Japan, fostering innovation, building executive relationships, managing business strategies, and leading a high-performing team to achieve remarkable outcomes.

| その他 | - **応募要件**: - 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in media, entertainment, gaming, or sports industries - Experience in senior leadership roles (Director level or above) with direct P&L ownership and team management responsibility - Demonstrated track record of building and scaling businesses, achieving revenue targets, and managing complex enterprise sales cycles - Deep understanding of the Japanese market landscape for MEGS, including key players, industry dynamics, regulatory environment, and cultural business norms - Experience leading end-to-end digital transformation programs or cloud adoption initiatives within enterprise organizations - Business-level fluency in Japanese (spoken and written) and professional proficiency in English - **望ましい経験**: - Experience working with or within major Japanese media, entertainment, gaming, or sports organizations - Strong knowledge of cloud computing technologies, AI/ML, and their application to media & entertainment workflows (content creation, distribution, gaming infrastructure, live sports production) - Track record of building C-suite relationships at Fortune 500 / Global 2000 enterprises in Japan - Experience navigating matrixed global organizations and driving outcomes through influence rather than direct authority - Background in management consulting, technology sales leadership, or general management within a technology company serving MEGS customers - Experience adapting global strategies to local Japan market needs while maintaining alignment with broader organizational goals - MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field |
