仕事内容
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system as part of a digital transformation initiative. This role is client-facing and demands strong project management skills, a solid grasp of engineering and manufacturing processes, and expertise in PLM systems. The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering a high-quality implementation project, ensuring it meets objectives on time and within budget while maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include managing various stakeholders and establishing clear communication channels, defining and tracking a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to monitor implementation progress, and managing project risks, issues, and action items. Additionally, the Project Manager will oversee project delivery to ensure adherence to quality standards and will define processes for delivery and quality management. Staying informed on new technologies and industry trends is essential, as is providing weekly project status updates to both customers and internal management. Effective management of project efforts and costs is also crucial.
The role offers the chance to engage with different technologies and solutions while planning and leading large-scale implementation projects. Career progression opportunities include advancement to Program Manager and ultimately to Delivery Lead, with the benefit of learning directly from both Japan and global teams. Required qualifications for candidates include strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), particularly in Waterfall and Agile methodologies, experience in managing project risks and coordinating stakeholders, and familiarity with the engineering or manufacturing sectors. A basic understanding of related terminologies and proficiency in Japanese and business-level English are also necessary.
