【Role Summary】

As an Infrastructure Project Manager, you will lead end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure projects in Japan for globally operating stakeholders. You will manage projects across initiation, planning, execution, monitoring/control, and closure, ensuring delivery to quality, cost, and schedule while coordinating with Japan-based teams and global/offshore delivery (e.g., India).

This role requires deep understanding of infrastructure environments, strong Japanese stakeholder management, and the ability to lead hybrid teams while continuously guiding customers toward operational improvements and infrastructure transformation. You are expected to act as a trusted on-site delivery leader, not only managing projects but also shaping better ways of working, modernizing platforms, and improving service quality.

【Key Responsibilities】

Project Delivery & Governance

•Lead projects through initiation → planning → execution → monitoring & control → closure, owning delivery outcomes and project governance cadence.

•Create/maintain core PM artifacts such as Project Charter, Project Management Plan, and (as applicable) Business Case aligned to the client’s PM framework (PMBOK-based).

•Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and delivery reporting; run steering / stakeholder updates with clear status, risks, and dependencies.

Stakeholder & Cross-cultural Management

•Partner with Japan business/IT stakeholders to align requirements and drive decisions; communicate progress and trade-offs effectively in a bilingual environment.

•Coordinate a hybrid team (Japan on-site + global/offshore team) and manage cross-time-zone execution, handoffs, and escalation paths.

Execution Management (Core PM Controls)

•Own risk/issue/problem management, mitigation planning, change control, and dependency management; ensure project health is visible and actionable.

•Drive detailed planning (WBS, milestones, critical path), and ensure alignment across technical workstreams.

Vendor & Procurement Management

•Manage vendors and partners: support RFP/tender processes, evaluate proposals, coordinate procurement, and oversee delivery and acceptance.

Infrastructure Scope (Examples)

•Deliver projects such as infrastructure assessment, network upgrades, server/storage refresh, datacenter initiatives, cloud migrations / operations, security controls, workplace/office moves, and related infra build activities (as applicable to your portfolio).

Operational Readiness & Transition

•Ensure smooth transition to operations/production: documentation, training, handover, post-go-live support planning, and closure/sign-off.

Required Qualifications

•8+ years in IT/infrastructure project management (or equivalent delivery leadership).

•Demonstrated experience managing schedule/issue/risk/reporting and stakeholder communications.

•Experience coordinating global/offshore teams (member or lead), including progress/issue management. Well-known about Japanese business culture.

•Japanese: business/near-native (JLPT N1 level); English: business/professional (read/write/speak) to work with global stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

•Infra technical fluency across network/server/storage/cloud/security (hands-on background a plus).

•Certifications: PMP / PRINCE2 / ITIL / Agile/Scrum (any combination).

•Experience in Performing assessment of infrastructure services
