仕事内容
As a Threat Detection Analyst within the Fastly Customer Security Operations Center (CSOC), we focus on monitoring and analyzing customer activity, with a particular emphasis on identifying security threats such as account-takeovers, bot attacks, and managing web application firewalls (WAF). We operate in a 24/7 environment, providing unparalleled support to our customers by integrating and supporting agent software on their systems. Our role involves working with the most scalable distributed systems, processing up to 10 million requests per second, alongside our world-class engineers.
Key responsibilities include ensuring comprehensive security for customers, responding effectively to security issues, and applying deep application-security expertise to escalated cases. We engage in continuous improvement and research activities to enhance our customer security products and operations. Additionally, we contribute to scaling our organization by improving processes and policies, creating and reviewing security service reports, and managing security content tailored to customer environments.
We require a solid background in information security, with proficiency in major web server platforms, scripting languages like Python, Java, and Unix/Linux Shell, and experience in a SOC environment. Our work extends beyond technical support to fostering exceptional customer experiences, requiring excellent communication and mentorship skills on security topics. This role demands availability during core business hours and may involve remote work, with occasional travel to the US and internationally as required.
