仕事内容

As members of the Fastly Customer Security Operations Center (CSOC), our primary responsibility is to ensure the security and integrity of our customers' digital experiences, focusing on the application layer. We are tasked with monitoring and analyzing customer activities to detect and respond to security threats, such as account takeovers, bot attacks, and managing Web Application Firewall (WAF) operations. Our team plays a crucial role in integrating and supporting agent software on customer systems to protect against Internet-scale threats.

We operate in a 24/7 shift environment, specifically working from Friday to Tuesday, with shifts running from 9 am to 6 pm AEST. Our work involves collaborating with other internal teams like security, operations, and customer organizations to deliver robust security solutions. We engage deeply in application security, using our expertise to address and resolve escalated security cases from both customers and automated systems.

Our responsibilities include continuous improvement of security products and operations, contributing to organizational processes and policies as we scale, and managing security content and reporting for customer environments. We need prior experience in SOC environments, with proficiency in technologies like SaaS/cloud, web server platforms, and scripting languages such as Python, Java, and others. Strong infosec background and system administration skills are crucial. We also ensure exceptional customer experiences through effective communication and troubleshooting skills, all while supporting a team-oriented environment to enhance security knowledge across our organization. This role requires availability during core business hours and potential international travel as needed.
