仕事内容
Our team, the Network Management Platform team at Fastly, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the development and deployment of critical network configuration services and infrastructure. In this role, you will play a vital part in collaborating with infrastructure and operations teams, influencing team direction, and delivering new features and functionalities essential to Fastly's global network expansion.
You will engage with peers across the company to architect and deliver advanced features for network configuration management and deployment. Responsibilities include designing features to support the growing infrastructure needs, enhancing software development processes such as testing and CI/CD, and producing performant, maintainable code. Your role also involves contributing to code reviews and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration by mentoring other engineers.
We require significant professional software development experience, ideally more than 5 years, including 3 years of working with containerized applications and orchestration platforms like Docker and Kubernetes, automating cloud workloads using solutions like Terraform, and adhering to DevOps best practices. Proficiency in Python or a modern programming language is essential. Additional expertise in networking concepts, infrastructure provisioning, and configuration management software is highly valued.
This role requires availability during core business hours with occasional on-call duties. While based preferably in locations such as San Francisco, New York, or Denver, we are open to consider highly qualified remote candidates in the US and Canada. Your work location will involve a hybrid model, allowing for flexibility between office and home work environments.
