仕事内容
In the Product Pricing Department, we lead the development and management of Manulife Japan’s life insurance products, handling actuarial design, pricing, profitability, and risk analysis. As a Pricing Officer, you will oversee our team of pricing actuaries, ensuring integrity in pricing, product economics, and governance, while collaborating with Product Development and other departments on product decisions.
Your role is crucial in ensuring new products and revisions meet profitability objectives, business priorities, internal standards, and Japanese regulatory requirements under CIFRS and JGAAP. You will be responsible for making timely, high-quality pricing decisions, conducting comprehensive financial analysis, managing product risks, supporting regulatory filings, and cultivating strong actuarial talent.
Key responsibilities include maintaining pricing oversight to align with profitability and strategy, evaluating product risks and compliance, and approving pricing initiatives. You'll review pricing assumptions, conduct experience studies, calculate new business value, monitor product performance, and ensure compliance in product implementation. Additionally, you'll partner with Product Development for regulatory approvals and prioritize pricing initiatives to meet deadlines.
You'll also negotiate and manage reinsurance treaties to ensure they comply with regulations and provide economic value. As a leader, you'll recruit, coach, and develop actuarial professionals, contributing to the company's strategy and fostering the next generation of actuaries.
Your qualifications should include membership in the Institute of Actuaries of Japan or equivalent, substantial experience in a product pricing role with business acumen, excellent actuarial skills, strong knowledge of the Japanese market and regulatory regime, and robust communication and leadership abilities.
