仕事内容
As Data Center Operations Senior Associates at NTT DATA, we play a critical support role ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of the data center infrastructure in Tokyo. Our responsibilities include the installation, racking, and cabling of servers, networking devices, and other data center equipment, ensuring the physical setup is optimal. We conduct routine hardware inspections and aid in equipment upgrades or replacements under supervision. Monitoring environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, and airflow is a part of our duties, and we report any anomalies to senior staff.
Additionally, we assist in documenting infrastructure layouts, changes, and maintenance records, which helps in maintaining organized and accurate data center documentation. In cases where systems need physical interventions like reboots, hardware swaps, and network patching, we are on hand to provide the necessary support. Our role involves participating in shift rotations to ensure 24/7 operational support, including coverage during weekends or after-hours as needed.
We adhere to established safety, security, and operational procedures, including access control and incident response protocols, to maintain the highest standards of operation. Working on infrastructure projects offers us invaluable opportunities to learn from experienced team members, particularly in troubleshooting and performance optimization. We also engage with the Change Management Process to review and coordinate planned changes effectively, and collaborate with external IT teams, system administrators, or support vendors to facilitate comprehensive data center support activities. With 6 months to 2 years of experience in data center support, we bring basic knowledge of servers, storage, networking, and cabling, and are prepared to be stationed at the 24/7 site.
