仕事内容
The Data Center Ops Senior Associate role at NTT DATA in Tokyo is designed for entry-level professionals eager to build a career in data center support. As part of our team, you'll be responsible for supporting the installation, racking, and cabling of servers and networking devices, as well as other data center equipment. You'll conduct routine hardware inspections and participate in equipment upgrades or replacements under supervision. Monitoring environmental conditions—such as temperature, humidity, and airflow—will be part of your daily tasks, and you'll report any anomalies to senior staff promptly.
In addition to these duties, you will assist in documenting infrastructure layouts and changes, maintaining thorough maintenance records. You'll also be responsible for providing physical support for system reboots, hardware swaps, and network patching. A significant part of the job involves participating in shift rotations to ensure our 24/7 operations run smoothly, which may include weekend or after-hours coverage when necessary. You'll follow established safety, security, and operational procedures, participating in access control and incident response protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
Collaboration with experienced team members is crucial, as it provides exposure to troubleshooting and performance optimizing infrastructure projects. You will also observe and learn the Change Management Process, playing a role in reviewing and coordinating planned changes. Additionally, you'll coordinate with external IT teams and system administrators or support vendors for data center-related activities. Candidates should have 6 months to 2 years of experience in data center support and basic knowledge of components such as servers, storage, and networking. The position demands flexibility to work on a 24/7 site.
