仕事内容
The Associate Director, Automation Lead role involves providing strategic and technical leadership to develop and expand the "Lab of the Future" capabilities at TSHO. Our primary responsibilities include establishing and executing an automation strategy and roadmap, focusing on creating fully automated and miniaturized (1536-well) assay workflows, and enhancing the digital ecosystem to support robotics integration, scheduling, automated analytics, and LIMS connectivity. We act as senior change agents within a matrixed organization, aligning key stakeholders, and pushing for innovative work methods to ensure sustainable impact and adoption.
We take charge of the Lab of the Future automation strategy, converting scientific priorities into a multi-year roadmap that includes platform choices and capability building. It is also our role to propose and implement new operating models to speed up the adoption of automation. As scientific leaders, we guide the development of robust, miniaturized automated assays, ensuring they meet design standards for automation compatibility, and lead the selection and implementation of robotic platforms, focusing on miniaturization strategies down to the 1536-well format.
We aim to boost digital capabilities by implementing automated data analysis pipelines and working with digital and data teams to integrate assay data into LIMS/ELN systems. Furthermore, we lead cross-functional teams, manage vendor relationships, and coordinate with USA-based automation leaders to establish a cohesive automation strategy across various sites.
Ideal candidates for this position will hold an advanced degree in relevant scientific or engineering fields, or possess equivalent proven experience, and have significant leadership experience in automation within laboratory settings. Expertise in assay development and experience with automation platforms and miniaturized assays are essential, alongside excellent communication skills for engaging with senior stakeholders, technical documentation, and team facilitation.
