仕事内容
The Sr. Program Manager for Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) Network Planning and Expansion plays a crucial role in expanding and optimizing our last-mile delivery network for heavy and bulky items in Japan. We are responsible for overseeing the entire delivery station launch process, ensuring that launches adhere to or exceed established timelines. This involves managing cross-functional stakeholder teams to execute effective launch strategies. Additionally, we own the optimization of delivery station jurisdictions, which includes improving network efficiency metrics, implementing standardized operational processes, and deploying cutting-edge tools. Our work involves benchmarking against global best practices to ensure continuous improvement and success in our operations.
We engage in strategic planning and execution, stakeholder management, data-driven decision-making, and project management. Our role also includes validating potential locations for new delivery stations, supporting financial studies for justifying launches, and optimizing delivery areas to enhance productivity. Launch execution management is another key component, where we identify necessary actions or points of coordination, track progress, manage stakeholders, and lead all related processes.
Through this role, we utilize the latest AI and GenAI tools, allowing us to accelerate decision-making and focus on strategically important work. The culture at Amazon supports continuous learning and development, particularly in AI fluency. Our team operates from the Tokyo Office and is part of the Last Mile (AMZL) department, focusing on program and project management to enhance the overall delivery operations in Japan.
