仕事内容

As a Senior Specialist Solutions Architect, our primary responsibility is to guide and support customers in Japan in building and operating analytics, search, and streaming workloads effectively. We are tasked with designing agent-ready data platforms that facilitate AI agents in autonomously searching, processing, and analyzing data, thereby supporting informed decision-making. This role places us at the forefront of technological innovation, transitioning from traditional BI/DWH to advanced solutions like AI-driven semantic search, natural language data exploration, and real-time streaming integration with AI.

We bring extensive expertise in analytics, search, and streaming technologies—specifically Redshift, Athena, EMR, Glue, Kinesis, MSK, OpenSearch, Lake Formation, DataZone, S3 Tables, QuickSight, and Clean Rooms—to promote AWS adoption across Japanese enterprises. Our role involves advising on modern data strategies, including lakehouse architecture, Iceberg, zero-ETL, data mesh, and RAG-based insight generation.

As trusted advisors, we provide strategic insights on cost optimization, performance, data governance, and AI/ML integration to drive customer projects forward. Our day-to-day activities include conducting architectural reviews, leading immersion days, and developing proofs of concept. We also create and share cloud-native and generative-AI-native reference architectures through various platforms like white papers, workshops, and blogs.

Collaboration is key, as we work closely with Analytics Specialists and Database/Storage SAs within the APJC Data team to deliver comprehensive data solutions. Our efforts extend to providing continuous feedback to AWS service teams, shaping the roadmap for analytics, search, streaming, and generative AI services based on customer needs and competitive insights. This role is ideal for those who are passionate about technology evolution and eager to co-create new value through the fusion of data and AI.

その他応募要件:
- Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese at a business level or above (N1+)
- Experience in Business English skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with AWS data warehouse and reporting technologies like Redshift, Athena, S3, etc.
- Experience working cross-functionally with a wide breadth of stakeholders, users, engineers, and leaders to generate buy-in.
- Deep hands-on experience with analytics technologies, data warehousing (e.g. Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, Teradata), data lakes, ETL/ELT pipelines, streaming (Kafka, Kinesis, Flink), search (Elasticsearch/OpenSearch), and data governance.
- Experience designing large-scale, production-grade data architectures for enterprise customers, including considerations for performance, security, cost optimization, and operational excellence.

望ましい経験:
- Experience designing AI/Agent-ready data platforms and modern data strategies (lakehouse, Iceberg, zero-ETL, RAG, semantic search, data mesh)
- Track record building reusable assets (reference architectures, workshops, blogs) at scale
- AWS certifications (SA, Data Analytics, ML Specialty) preferred
