仕事内容
We engage in collaborative efforts with users and project teams to establish and comprehend requirements and expectations efficiently. Our primary tasks involve analyzing business requirements and creating robust data solutions tailored to meet both functional and non-functional demands. A critical part of our role includes dissecting existing systems to trace original source data according to business needs. We work in unison with the Application Development team to execute data strategies and construct data flows, ensuring seamless integration of the systems. Guidance is provided to System Analysts, Engineers, Programmers, and other stakeholders regarding project limitations, capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces.
Our responsibilities extend to uncovering metadata of the source database to identify value patterns, distributions, and key as well as foreign-key candidates, alongside functional dependencies. We are responsible for designing both logical and physical data models and creating detailed design documentation, including Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs). Testing is another critical aspect, which involves preparing test cases and data, and capturing evidence to ensure comprehensive validation.
Our role demands strong expertise in data and system analytics across various coding languages, comprehensive knowledge about database technologies such as Oracle, MS-SQL Server, MongoDB, and familiarity with Linux and networking. Understanding advanced concepts like Hadoop ecosystem and new platform adaptations involving technologies like Hive, HBase, and Spark is essential for staying ahead. We place emphasis on problem-solving and possess excellent communication skills, enabling effective presentation and interpersonal interaction. Additionally, while having an advanced proficiency in Japanese is necessary, an intermediate grasp of English is recommended.
