仕事内容
As a Senior Customer Solutions Engineer at Fastly, my main role is to serve as the principal technical contact and trusted advisor for Fastly customers, particularly for our largest and most critical clients. Leveraging my expertise in cloud systems, Fastly architecture, scripting/software development, and networking protocols such as HTTP and TCP, I will develop and maintain deep technical relationships with multiple stakeholders within each customer account. I am responsible for the post-sales implementation of Fastly products, which includes configuring logging endpoints, image optimization, and Varnish Configuration Language (VCL) coding, while thoroughly documenting the customer's setup to facilitate troubleshooting and further engagement.
Additionally, my role involves identifying and resolving key challenges within customer accounts, often proactively before they are formally recognized. This requires close collaboration with account management and various internal teams to ensure comprehensive ticket escalation and support when needed. I am expected to improve customer utilization of Fastly’s products, advocating for customers internally, and ensuring both customer satisfaction and cost-effective service delivery.
I also mentor new Cloud Engineers, providing guidance and feedback to enhance their technical expertise. My responsibilities further extend to handling customer escalations, participating in the development and execution of customer strategies, and leading regular customer meetings either onsite or virtually. A significant part of my role is being the customer’s advocate within Fastly, tracking and reporting on account health, and presenting technical concepts to diverse levels within both Fastly and customer organizations. The position requires flexibility to travel for customer meetings and engage with customers across different time zones as needed.
