仕事内容
As a Hardware Engineer at Synopsys, we are responsible for leading the design and development of advanced analog and mixed-signal circuits, blocks, and subsystems, guiding them from the initial specification stage through to production. Our work involves developing architectural proposals and conducting tradeoff analyses focused on performance, power, area, and cost to meet specific project requirements. We perform circuit simulation, verification, and optimization using industry-standard tools such as SPICE and Spectre, managing critical tape-out activities, silicon bring-up, debugging processes, and laboratory characterization to ensure product efficiency and reliability.
We also collaborate closely with layout engineering to ensure that physical implementations accurately preserve design intentions, with a keen focus on manufacturability. Establishing and executing comprehensive validation plans aligned with product requirements and quality standards is an essential part of our role. Furthermore, we provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and offer leadership across project teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
To excel in this role, a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is required, though a Master's degree or PhD is preferred. A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in analog and mixed-signal IC design is essential, with demonstrated expertise in transistor-level circuit design and analysis. Proficiency with circuit simulation tools like SPICE and Spectre, practical experience in silicon debugging, characterization, laboratory measurements, and familiarity with high-speed interfaces, data converters, voltage regulators, power management circuits, or sensors are advantageous. Knowledge of deep submicron CMOS process technologies is also beneficial.
