仕事内容
As Engagement Managers, we are responsible for leading complex early-stage consulting pursuits, working closely with Sales Leaders and customers to shape strategic opportunities. Our role involves mentoring junior Business Development Managers (BDMs) and requires a strong background in Professional Services implementation and selling. We handle high-complexity opportunities that involve multiple variables, evaluate ambiguous customer situations, and provide strategic recommendations to shape and qualify strategic pursuits effectively.
In terms of autonomy, we operate independently with considerable latitude, advising leadership on business development strategy and pipeline priorities. Our work involves collaboration with SAS sales managers and Account Executives, requiring us to act swiftly and coordinate internally to ensure opportunities are delivered on time and with the required quality.
Our contributions drive regional consulting growth, influence strategic planning, improve forecasting discipline, and boost business development (BD) effectiveness, alongside enhancing BD processes and cross-team collaboration. Our primary responsibilities include leading advanced discovery sessions with senior stakeholders, shaping strategic approaches for early-stage opportunities, identifying cross-territory attach opportunities, and building strong relationships with customers and partners.
Additionally, we lead the preparation of detailed reviews for complex deals, provide advanced insights to BD Practice and Operations, and represent BD in forecasting and leadership reviews. We are also tasked with standardizing BD workflows across teams, mentoring junior BDMs, and reviewing submissions for complex opportunities. Technically, we possess a strong understanding of solution architecture and consulting delivery models, with the ability to articulate strategic-level value and comprehend data pipelines within a broader architectural context.
Our competencies include expert consultative discovery, strategic influence, executive-ready communication, as well as coaching and leadership abilities. The role requires a bachelor's degree, 7-10+ years of experience, and fluency in English and Japanese, along with the necessary implementation and selling experience in Professional Services.
