Job Details:Job Description: The Role and ImpactAs a Sr. Commodity Manager within the GMO Advanced Packaging Materials Organization, you will drive Intel's supply chain excellence for advanced packaging materials by optimizing cost, ensuring supply continuity, and enabling technology roadmap execution. You will shape sourcing strategies, build strategic supplier partnerships, and influence both commercial and technical decisions to strengthen Intel's competitive position.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute commodity strategies aligned with business objectives and advanced packaging roadmapDrive CQAT (Cost, Quality, Availability, Technology) optimization across Intel's Advanced Packaging supply chainOwn strategic supplier relationships including sourcing, selection, performance management, and executive alignmentLead contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and cost reduction roadmapsTranslate product and technology requirements into supply chain and sourcing strategiesAssess supplier capabilities, financial health, and market dynamics to identify risks and opportunitiesImplement supply chain and sub-tier risk mitigation strategies to ensure business continuityInfluence material specifications and design decisions in partnership with engineering and suppliersShape Intel-supplier business models to deliver mutual long-term valueDrive cross-functional alignment with Ops, TD, Finance, Planning, and LegalBehavioral TraitsStrong communication and stakeholder management across global, cross-functional teamsBusiness acumen in negotiation, supplier strategy, and executive engagementAbility to connect technical requirements with cost, supply, and supplier capabilitiesLeadership in driving alignment, decision-making, and team developmentQualifications:QualificationsMinimumBachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field6+ years of professional experience in supply chain / commodity management, including at least one of the following:Contracting, supplier management, or sourcingCost, supply, and risk managementAlternatively, experience as a supplier-side representative, including customer engagement, price negotiation, and contractingPreferredMBA or other advanced degreeExperience influencing technical or product decisions through supply chain strategySemiconductor / advanced packaging industry knowledgeStrong cross-functional leadership and negotiation skills          Job Type:Experienced HireShift:Shift 1 (Japan)Primary Location: Japan, TokyoAdditional Locations:Business group:Intel Foundry strives to make every facet of semiconductor manufacturing state-of-the-art while delighting our customers -- from delivering cutting-edge silicon process and packaging technology leadership for the AI era, enabling our customers to design leadership products, global manufacturing scale and supply chain, through the continuous yield improvements to advanced packaging all the way to final test and assembly.
