仕事内容

As an Associate Scientist in Process Analytics at Takeda, our primary focus is on providing technical and analytical support for the development of synthetic drug substances. We engage in offline analytical method development to support route scouting, optimize reactions, and understand mechanisms for synthetic molecules. Our responsibilities include providing theoretical and conceptual contributions to project-specific research assignments, independently planning and executing unit operation characterizations, and optimizing experiments within our expertise. We are tasked with significant technical leadership within projects or complex studies, identifying and resolving process or study issues, and contributing to complex projects across functional areas.

We collaborate with drug substance process chemistry, analytical development, and engineering teams to design and execute experiments for process optimization, scale-up, and technology transfer activities. Our role involves developing In-Process Control (IPC) methods, providing support for Process Analytical Technology (PAT) methods, and developing High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) methods for compound identification and quantification in complex mixtures. We analyze and interpret analytical data for process improvement, stay updated on analytical chemistry trends, and work cross-functionally to foster innovation within the Process Analytics team.

Our responsibilities extend to defining novel approaches to solve technical challenges, building relationships with vendors, managing resources, and integrating scientific efforts across functional teams. We communicate data and findings cross-functionally, design and conduct experiments independently, and manage timelines and deliverables effectively. Proficiency in Japanese and English, knowledge sharing, and external professional involvement are essential characteristics for this role.
