仕事内容
As part of our global controls team, you will work alongside highly motivated experts and innovators within the data center industry to drive innovation and efficiency. Your primary responsibility will be the innovation, deployment, optimization, and maintenance of automation systems, which include Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) within our data centers. Utilizing Amazon's leadership principles, you will be instrumental in developing new processes and standards while driving innovation in the controls domain.
In the role of an associate controls engineer, your tasks will include performing root cause analysis for controls issues, scheduling and supervising quarterly maintenance for BMS and EPMS, and managing vendor relationships effectively. You will develop scopes of work for site improvement projects and support global controls project teams, all while managing multiple stakeholder deliverables against tight project deadlines. Your role will involve reviewing control sequences of operation and providing design feedback, managing service invoices financially, offering technical assistance to internal clients throughout the data center lifecycle, participating in a global on-call schedule, and broadening your technical capabilities by learning diverse automation platforms.
Further responsibilities for a Controls Engineer may include ensuring data center controls meet the scope of work and specifications, developing building automation controls drawings and diagrams, selecting controls valves, actuators, and devices, and providing feedback on MEP drawings. Additionally, you will develop control bills of material, modify controls logic programming, adjust graphical user interfaces, and may act in a project sponsor capacity.
