仕事内容
As a Business Intelligence Engineer in the Amazon Search Capacity team, we are responsible for scaling the Amazon Search service by collaborating with service owners in engineering and operations. Our role involves understanding the service in detail to drive optimal scaling and capacity planning. We are tasked with identifying and tracking key performance metrics related to efficiency and costs, managing planning, ordering, and budgeting for hardware and computational resources. Additionally, we are responsible for developing and improving tools to automate these processes wherever feasible. Our analysis focuses on resource utilization and performance test data to uncover variables that impact performance and scalability. We develop models to determine the hardware resources required to meet current and future Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Our work requires a foundational understanding in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, or a related quantitative field. Additionally, familiarity with AWS solutions and the ability to develop and present recommendations for new metrics are advantageous.
