仕事内容
As a Staff Software Engineer in our Customer Identity Access Management (CIAM) team, we focus on creating state-of-the-art solutions that streamline identity management for organizations. Our key responsibilities include designing and building robust, scalable identity services to handle authentication, authorization, and the full identity lifecycle. We take the lead on significant technical projects from initial design to production, ensuring a balance between long-term architecture vision and practical delivery needs.
We are responsible for guiding the architecture of the CIAM platform, making critical technical decisions, and collaborating with product and security teams to prioritize technological investments and mitigate risks. Our role demands an ability to break down complex technical challenges into feasible and incremental solutions, all while adhering to high engineering standards.
Additionally, we lead by example in championing modern identity standards and best practices across the platform, aiming to enhance the reliability, security, and maintainability of services through robust architectural decisions. Part of our role involves mentoring engineers within the organization through design reviews and technical guidance.
We maintain an inclusive engineering culture that values curiosity, pragmatism, and an ongoing quest for improvement. Regular on-call support participation is also a part of our role to ensure continuity and stability of services.
Candidates should have extensive experience in designing and maintaining authentication and authorization systems, a solid understanding of identity standards like OIDC and OAuth, and a strong background in software architecture. While experience with Go, Java, or Ruby, and tools like Keycloak is preferred, it is not mandatory. This role requires availability during core business hours and occasionally outside regular hours for on-call duties.

| その他 | - **応募要件**: Significant experience designing and operating authentication and authorization systems in production environments. Staff engineers at Fastly typically have 7+ years of relevant experience. Deep understanding of identity and access standards and technologies such as OIDC, OAuth, SAML, SCIM, JWT, and SSO. Experience with service-to-service authentication and secure communication patterns in distributed systems. Strong background in software architecture and system design, especially in areas of scalability, performance, reliability, and security. Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership across multiple teams through architectural guidance, delivery of complex initiatives, and collaborative influence. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear technical documentation and align diverse stakeholders. - **望ましい経験**: Experience with Go, Java, or Ruby.
