仕事内容
At Synopsys, our role centers on leading threat analysis for semiconductor IP and associated firmware. We are tasked with identifying assets, access points, threat scenarios, and attack paths, recommending controls for IP as per integrator requirements. We carry out security analysis throughout the entire cybersecurity lifecycle—from planning, design, implementation, verification to release—ensuring that security measures are integrated into the development flow. Our responsibility also involves advising product teams on cybersecurity requirements, architecture, and verification while writing customer-facing security integration guidance that outlines the threat landscape and implemented controls.
Additionally, we review RTL, architecture, and verification intent against secure-design principles, ensuring claimed controls are implemented and testable, and offering integrator recommendations as necessary. Our role extends to supporting in-field cybersecurity activities for the covered products, including conducting vulnerability assessments and incident analyses, often in collaboration with product-team architects and corporate vulnerability response teams.
In our day-to-day activities, we facilitate working sessions with cybersecurity architects and design leads to ensure consistent analysis across similar IP classes. We deliver analysis incrementally, working within agile sprints, planning security tasks against the product backlog, and adjusting scope with any design changes. We leverage Python to automate analysis, transform inventories and threat-model data, and produce repeatable reports for review by other analysts.
We employ agentic workflows to enhance research speed, drafting, consistency checks, and routine tasks while maintaining ownership of findings, employing tools like Jira, Confluence, Git, and GitLab to track analysis and incident work, ensuring project documentation is up-to-date and versioned through merge requests and reviews. Ultimately, we aim to provide trustworthy threat analysis to product teams, strengthening cybersecurity lifecycles and ensuring that security work remains current with design changes.
