仕事内容
As the Counsel for International Employment at Takeda, we will be primarily responsible for providing strategic, practical legal advice in employment law across all Takeda jurisdictions outside of the United States, with a focus on Japan and the Asia Pacific region. We will serve as the primary legal advisor on a wide range of employment law matters, including organizational changes, legal compliance, and risk management, working closely with Global HR, Regional HR leadership, Compliance, and senior business stakeholders. Our role involves advising on complex workforce issues, such as restructurings, reductions in force, site closures, reorganizations, and union engagements. We will lead employment law aspects of mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic transactions, focusing on due diligence, transaction negotiations and integration planning, especially outside the US.
Our responsibilities also include overseeing and managing employment litigation and government investigations, coordinating with and supervising external counsel, and partnering with HR to develop and implement global and regional employment policies and playbooks. We will monitor legislative and regulatory developments, assess their impact and advise on risk mitigation strategies related to employment law. Additionally, we will support global initiatives related to diversity, equity and inclusion, flexible working, data privacy, and workforce transformation. Building strong relationships with HR, Compliance, and other legal functions, we will contribute to international employment law strategy, identify opportunities for efficiency, and provide legal guidance to other lawyers within the organization.

| その他 | - **応募要件**: Qualified lawyer with significant post‑qualification experience in employment law, including substantial international or cross‑border experience. As a guide, with minimum of 7 years post-qualification experience although other levels of PQE will be considered. Maintained legal practice certificate. Fluent English speaker required, additional languages would be an advantage. Proven ability to advise on high‑risk, high‑complexity matters and to exercise sound judgement under pressure. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and advise senior leaders in a global environment. Experience managing and coordinating external counsel across multiple jurisdictions. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, practical guidance. High degree of integrity, discretion, and professionalism, with a strong alignment to Takeda’s values. |
