仕事内容
As a Technical Program Management Assistant Director at DayOne, we play a critical role in overseeing program management for both new and existing data center projects. Our primary responsibility involves leading the development and implementation of new data center infrastructure, guiding projects from initial stages to completion. This role necessitates providing onsite support and guidance to the delivery team, which includes operations, consultants, suppliers, and contractors, to ensure that testing and commissioning are in alignment with business objectives.
We are responsible for risk management with the delivery team to ensure timely project delivery aligned with business expectations. This involves planning schedules and work sequences, and integrating these with procurement, construction, testing, and operational phases. By supporting the execution team, we help in resolving on-site issues, advising on work sequencing to avoid unnecessary work and mitigate risks, and ensuring modular initiatives fit site conditions and requirements.
Our role also includes guiding the procurement team in selecting partners, vendors, and contractors, as well as recommending construction methods that enhance quality, safety, and speed. We work closely with the design and construction teams to ensure seamless project delivery, resolving issues on-site, and enhancing design, construction, and handover quality.
We collaborate on innovative construction methodologies like DfMA and prefab initiatives, ensuring they align with testing and commissioning requirements. Additionally, we are involved in front-end planning, supporting resource and sales teams to align project delivery with target client needs. This position demands at least 10 years of delivery experience, preferably in data centers, with a background in construction or project management, proficiency with project management tools, and bilingual capabilities in English and Japanese.
